Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex
About the Object
The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex around Antares is probably one of the most colorful regions on the night sky, and thus a thankful wide field target (in particular as the northern spring season is not very rich in wide field targets).
Observation Notes
From my backyard Rho Ophiuchi is not reachable - at 52N it just disappears in the city smog. Post solar eclipse in Arizona, conditions where considerable better though not ideal shooting relatively low over the city of Tucson in the South.
Data were taken in the early morning hours on 2024 April 12, 13, 14,15, and 16
