NGC7640 – the other galaxy in Andromeda
About the Object
NGC 7640 is a barred spiral in the constellation of Andromeda at a distance of some 30 million light-years. Like so many NGC objects, it was discovered by William Herschel. The galaxy has an 11th visible magnitude and is located about 30 million light-years from Earth.
