NGC6340 and friends
About the Object
NGC 6340 is a unbarred disk galaxy about 55 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. The surrounding field is quite rewarding for deep imaging, containing numerous smaller companion galaxies and a rich backdrop of far more distant island universes.
