About the Object

NGC1499, the California nebula, is a HII region in Perseus discovered by Edward Barnard in 1885. It extends for more than 2.5° on the sky and is a frequently targeted object  for wider field setups. I find a color palette based on HOO and then the  Sii signal gilded on to be the most appealing for these kind of objects.
