About the Object

IC 65 is a barred spiral galaxy of Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Andromeda. It is estimated to be 125 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 130,000 light-years. I could not find any zoomed-in images of IC65, only (very) wide field with M31 and the larger environ, so I post this as a astrobin debut. The field also host a number of further galaxies, all sufficiently large to clearly see the morphology and some inner structure.

Observation Notes

Data were taken on 2025 November 20, 21, and 22.
