About the Object

Arp 283 is a pair of interacting galaxies (consisting of NGC 2798 and NGC 2799). The yellow/blue color contrast is nicely mirrored by two (apparently) neighboring bright stars rounding off this ensemble quite appealingly.

Observation Notes

Data were taken on 2025 December 15, 18, 24, and 25
